Each year, 6 scholarships are available to high school students for use in continuing education.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Be a graduating high school student the year of application submission.
Have sufficient academic credits to be accepted by an accredited university, community college, technical institute, or trade school.
Be an active USBC youth member, currently bowling in a certified youth league.
Have been a USBC youth member for at least the previous two (2) years.
Have resided within the jurisdiction of the Washington State USBC Association for at least the previous two (2) years.

Congratulations to our 6 Youth Scholarship Recipients, presented at the 2026 annual jamboree held in Wenatchee, WA.

Georgia Rahla – Snohomish County USBC – Dee Ashby Scholarship
Georgia Rahla has been bowling for ten years, earning multiple tournament titles. She excels academically through Running Start, maintaining strong GPAs in both college and high school, and is active in her community through church and the Boys & Girls Club.

Lexie Zabel – Snohomish County USBC – Ron Hicks Memorial Scholarship
Lexie Zabel has been bowling since the age of five and has led her high school team as a captain to consistent district and state appearances. She is known as a strong leader and mentor. She is a Running Start student and has earned recognition through DECA and the WCTSMA.

Zachary Jones – Skagit Valley USBC – Bob DeVleming Scholarship
Zachary Jones has bowled for fourteen years and consistently excels in competition, with multiple top ten finishes. He ranks near the top of his graduating class. Zachary is also a leader in his school’s NJROTC program, serving as Battalion Commanding Officer.

Hattie Roy – South Sound USBC – Michael O’Connor Scholarship
Hattie Roy began bowling in high school and quickly advanced, improving her average significantly. She is an accomplished Taekwondo black belt with strong performances at state and national levels. Hattie also excels academically, maintaining an almost perfect GPA.

Sydney Rehberg – Clark County USBC – Hall of Fame Scholarship
Sydney Rehberg has been bowling for four years serving as a varsity team captain for three years and leading her team to state competition. She is a Running Start student and has earned multiple academic honors. Sydney actively volunteers for many local organizations.
Colton Styren – Spokane County USBC – Joe & Margaret Weber Scholarship
Colton was not able to attend our scholarship awards banquet.
Colton Styren has been a bowler for seven years. He is recognized by his coaches for his strong sportsmanship and commitment to improvement. Colton is a highly involved Boy Scout and being inducted into the Order of the Arrow.
