Tristan Bierman – Bob DeVleming Scholarship Award

Tristan has earned numerous titles throughout his youth bowling career, including championships from the Junior Bowler’s Tour, the Bowlero Youth Classic, and four titles from the Washington Youth Bowler’s Tour. Following a standout performance at the 2024 Junior Gold tournament, Tristan earned a coveted spot on the University of Washington bowling team. His vision is to turn UW into a hub for competitive bowling, creating new opportunities for local talent to thrive right here in Washington State. Tristan’s accomplishments don’t stop at the lanes. He is on track to be valedictorian of Central City School, boasting a 4.21 GPA on a 4.25 scale. He was awarded his school’s Outstanding Citizen Award—given to just one student each year who exemplifies leadership, character, and academic excellence. He has also earned honors on the school honor roll, the President’s List at Olympic College, and the Principal’s List at South Kitsap High School.

Hailey Lennox – Joe & Margaret Weber Scholarship Award

Hailey has been deeply involved in the bowling world for over ten years. She’s competed in numerous local and state USBC tournaments, the Washington Youth Bowler’s Tour, WIAA high school bowling, and more. She also gives back to the sport by coaching young bowlers at Skagit Valley USBC. Her dream is to one day win a PWBA title and bowl among the best in the sport. Beyond the lanes, Hailey is equally impressive. She has a passion for helping others and is described by her peers as someone who leads with integrity, kindness, and resilience. Through her involvement in Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), she has taken meaningful steps toward her goal of working in the healthcare field—including volunteering her time to serve her community.

Faith Sampson – Ron Hicks Memorial Scholarship Award

Faith is from Palouse Regional USBC and has been bowling for three years. She has been heavily involved in her high school bowling program, earning most valuable player, Most Improved, Coaches Pick, and three varsity letters. She led the team as varsity captain, and their bowling team earned the all-state academic award. In addition to bowling, she is also a varsity athlete in golf and soccer.

She was on the high honor roll all four years, and a scholar athlete for three of those. She has had exceptional grades in school, with a cumulative GPA of 3.98. Faith has been volunteering for the Environmental Health and Safety program at Washington State University and at her local hospital to learn skills to help her as she majors in biochemistry with a focus in pre-medicine next year at Pacific University. Her goal is to become an autoimmune specialist.

Mia Yeager – Michael O’Connor Scholarship Award

Mia has built an extraordinary resume as a youth bowler, with too many achievements to list. She placed in the top five percent of the U-18 division at the Junior Gold national tournament. She also took first place in the Princess Division of the Washington State Queens Tournament last year. She will continue her bowling journey at Vanderbilt University, where she plans to major in International Creative Marketing and Digital Communication. Beyond her accomplishments on the lanes, Mia is a dedicated volunteer and community leader. She serves on the South Sound USBC Youth Committee and volunteers her time preparing bulk foods for distribution to local food pantries, meal sites, and shelters—making a meaningful impact off the lanes as well.

Isaac Lleras – Dee Ashby Scholarship Award

Isaac has made an exceptional presence in his bowling community. Despite only joining youth league two years ago, he rolled his first 300 game last year during a South Sound USBC event. He’s actively participated in numerous local and state USBC tournaments and has qualified to compete in Junior Gold this year—a remarkable accomplishment for such a new bowler. But Isaac’s talents extend far beyond the lanes. He is currently on track to be the valedictorian at Life Christian Academy, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. In addition to excelling academically, he has earned varsity letters in both basketball and baseball. Outside of school, Isaac balances his time by working part-time during the school year and giving back through volunteer work.

Michele Westmorland – Hall of Fame Scholarship Award

Michele has been bowling since she was seven years old, starting at Battle Ground Lanes. She has participated in many tournaments, earning 1st place in a 2025 Junior Gold Qualifier tournament, 1st place in a JBT tournament, and multiple second place finishes at the Oregon Junior Classic tournaments. She competed on her high school bowling team, earning MVP for all four years. She led her team as captain to state, earning first place in the 2025 and placing second as an individual. Michele is also an all-around student, getting on the honor roll and having perfect attendance on her record. She is spoken highly of from her peers, teachers, and mentors. Each described her as an outstanding student and person, with a genuine passion for learning and helping others.
